Evangelist Harlan M. Humphrey was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  His parents are Dr. Les and Jacqueline Humphrey.  He was licensed to preach the gospel in 1999. Evangelist  Humphrey is co-founder and president of Street Ministries.  He is a major inspiration to people from all walks of life with his high-energy and inviting personality.  Through radio, television and the Internet he has engaged many people into thought-provoking questions and dialogue regarding the things of God.

Harlan began his Street Ministry journey at the tender age of seven.   He was trained and licensed under the direct leadership of Dr. Les Humphrey, Educator/Pastor.  He has been tenacious in seeing people of all ages, genders, and races come into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.  He has traveled to many parts of the country and abroad such as parts of Central America, including Nicaragua.

Because of the death and destruction in the inner city communities, Harlan’s message and purpose is timely.  One of his greatest desires is to see all Churches come outside their four walls to meet sinners where they are and point them where they need to be.  Because he has been on the street preaching for many years he knows that doing Street Ministry can be extremely challenging most times.  However, his faith in the Word of God, and his strength in the power of the Holy Spirit allows him to continue his mission of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to as many people that he can come in contact with.

He preaches on the Streets of the inner city weekly, and holds a mid-day bible study.  With many preaching engagements under his belt he is known to evangelize at appointed churches, bars, jails, funerals, revivals, and minister at Men’s fellowships.  In addition to his passion for Street Ministry, he also wrote a book called, “Get Fit Now! A 5-Step Process for Managing Weight and Living Well.”  A concise, beneficial, and necessary guide to healthy living published in 2004 by Pneuma Publishing.

Harlan proclaims the gospel of Jesus Christ with the power of the Holy Spirit and will go to whomever and wherever God will send him.  His favorite scripture at this appointed time is Matthew 24:44, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”  Being thankful for all things, Harlan embraces the joy of being the proud parent of his beautiful daughter, Briana Humphrey.
